In my other life, I create collages that are an odd combination of paper and needle arts. I’ve always suspected that Katie Baird of Katie Eats Cake was a kindred spirit. When this little work of hers popped up on MrXStitch, I shrieked, laughed, and drooled in rapid sequence. I am SO stealing this idea. Up to now, I’ve embroidered little borders and decorations on my collage photos. From here on, anything is possible. Thank you, Katie, for giving us permission to stitch on taboo surfaces and laugh out loud for joy. And thank you, Beefranck at MrXStitch, for pointing to Katie!
