Inspiration: Shirlee Fassell and Susan Elliott

January 4, 2011 by Denise Felton 3 Comments

I keep going back, over and over, to Susan Elliott‘s photos of Shirlee Fassell‘s Vintage Vignettes crazy quilt. The design and stitching are varied and perfect, and Susan’s photos are phenomenal. Each image captures techniques I want to try and others I cannot hope to master. Eye candy is too weak a description for this photo essay. If you love crazy quilting or bead embroidery — or if you just delight in gorgeous imagery — don’t miss Susan’s Plays with Needles blog post.
