Kristi of Stitchy Stitcherson blog stitched this colorful sugar skull using a pattern from Jenny Hart’s new book, Embroidered Effects. Her special touch? She says,
With the exception of the french knots around the eyes, the white parts are done with glow-in-the-dark-floss. (It’s rather slippery stuff, and I didn’t have the patience to use it for the french knots. It would’ve looked so cool, though.)
Brilliant! Halloween/Day of the Dead stitchery is the perfect application for glow-in-the-dark flosses. I’m going to run out and stock up today!
