If Kayla Coo wants to make it, I want to look at it.
I’ve been following Kayla’s embellisher adventures for several months. (Embellisher is a term for a power needle-felting machine.) Her vibrant color choices, the richness of the embroidered and beaded embellishment, and the universality of her themes make her work irresistable to me. Her photos are so clear and well-lit, they let me study the texture of each design in detail. So I was astonished when I finally realized that Kayla’s works are tiny! The gorgeous needlepainting shown here is, I’d say, about 4 inches by 6 inches. Maybe smaller. Watch Kayla’s blog and flickr pool, and be prepared to be amazed.
