Mason Jar Flower Bouquet Hand Embroidery Pattern

January 31, 2021 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

Bev over on Flamingo Toes strikes gold again with this lovely hand embroidery project.  It is a bouquet of flowers in a mason jar.  It even has a heart in the center of the jar to make it that much more lovely.

This easy and free pattern would be perfect to make for someone for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.  Wouldn’t it be a thoughtful birthday gift as well?

Made using standard hand embroidery supplies including a 7″ hoop, floss, various fabrics for the appliqué sections, and HeatnBond, the project does require some stitch knowledge.  The ones used in the design are the back stitch, woven roses, lazy daisies, french knots, running stitch and the chain stitch.

I particularly like the addition of the fabric sections for the jar, tablecloth, and leaves.  They add a different level of dimension to the project. The felt heart and the ribbon finish the whole design off perfectly.

The patterns over on Flamingo Toes  are always so nicely put together and easy to follow.  The clear how-to photos help too.
