Meet a new tapestry designer

Emily Peacock is a UK designer on a mission to represent a traditional craft – tapestry – in a modern form. Her designs are timely, complex, and exciting. Her site says,

All designs are worked in counted cross stitch with Appleton Brothers wools from a colour chart – this ensures greater accuracy and a more rewarding process as the design grows onto the blank canvas rather than stitching over a pre-printed canvas…My aim is to offer designs that break with tradition – designs that would look equally at home in a country cottage or a modern loft conversion, designs that are attractive, original and eye-catching.
