I have always been drawn to mandalas. They have such beautiful and intricate designs, yet they also have a wonderful symmetry to them. So when I saw this tutorial for a mini one from MagaMerlina, I had to bring it to you.
It is a fairly simple project. You will need needlework supplies including felt, floss, seed beads and a needle. You will also need a chalk marking tool and circle template. For the stitching, you will need to know how to do the stem stitch, fly stitch, whipped spider web stitch, and the chain stitch. That’s it.
The detailed tutorial takes you through all of the steps needed to create your design. If you are more advanced, this pattern would be a good starting point. You could change, or add, stitches to tailor it to your own preferences. However, I think this pattern is lovely on its own. Make a lot of them in various color combinations to make a pretty wall hanging. There are all sorts of things you can do with your mini mandala.
