Needlepoint Trade Secrets

September 17, 2007 by Shellie Wilson Leave a Comment

A new book, Needlepoint Trade Secrets, uncovers the tips and tricks of needlework. Drawing on her 35 years of doing needlepoint and her experience as a designer and teacher, Janet M. Perry has written a book which is useful for stitchers at any level, whether they are beginning their first canvas, or have done a lifetime of needlepoint.

In this book you will learn how to: stitch any canvas, conquer that pile of unfinished projects, and organize a stash of any size. The ideas in this book will help anyone stitch better and with more beautiful results.

Needlepoint Trade Secrets is organized into chapters by topic, including Materials, Threads, Stitches, Project Ideas and Inspiration, and Traveling with Needlepoint. Each chapter includes an introductory essay and tips written in a clear, easily understandable style.

Perry has thought deeply about needlepoint and shares the results in this book. Some tips cover the best method to stitch any canvas, how to evaluate your ideas for stitching to get a piece which looks good and is an effective design. She even discusses different ways to get through your pile of projects.

Needlepoint Trade Secrets is a handy trade paperback size and is currently available in needlework and book stores as well as through Amazon.com.

Janet M. Perry is one of the leading writers of needlepoint stitch guides in the world. She is the Needlepoint Pro columnist for Cross-Stitch & Needlework and is sought nationally as a needlepoint teacher and writer. She makes her home in the California Wine Country.
