Stitching with a modern vibe

June 22, 2010 by Denise Felton 3 Comments

This contemporary needlepunch design — created by PataPri and featured on MrXStitch — has my brain churning with ideas. The simple graphics. The excellent color choices. Let’s all go home and spend the evening needlepunching embroidering French knots!

See the story with links on the MrXStitch post.

Actually, I don’t think this is needlepunching. I’m pretty sure she says on Flickr that they are French knots.

Holy mackeroly! You are absolutely right! I completely misunderstood. I was already in awe of PataPri. Finding out that her embroideries are created entirely of French knots makes my jaw drop all over again! While searching for confirmation that the designs were embroidered rather than needlepunched, I stumbled across a link to PataPri’s blog: http://www.patapri.blogspot.com/. I’m definitely adding her to my reader.

Thanks a million for the feedback, ammullins!

No problem! I was equally wowed at seeing this so I looked through all her photos 🙂 She wrote how she spent over an hour on each drop!!! That’s dedication…
