New stitchy mag: Spool

November 16, 2010 by Denise Felton Leave a Comment

We got this heads-up from Debbie Coe, social networker for Spool, a brand-new needlework tabloid:

Spool is a multi-technique publication in a tabloid format. It’s size is 11″x14″ and the graphics and photographs are sharp and colorful. Anyone who has picked up or thought of picking up a needle will love the articles and projects. This magazine is for the beginner or the A.D.D. stitcher, like me. Just released, the Premier Issue of Spool, features counted cross stitch, knitting, crochet, needlepoint, crewel and assorted & sundry needle art. The site has a Call for Creative as well, where members of your community can send their creations for publication. The Winter 2011 issue will be 48 pages of large and easy to read graphs and patterns. Spool is a fabulous way to have a $4.95 reason to laugh and be a part of a fun community.

The price is right. And after looking at the online preview, I definitely want to check out the live mag. See the preview. Or go to Spool’s home page for subscription and other information.
