Di Overton of designers’ block blog shared her discovery that Lorna Bateman of Vari-Galore Embroidery is selling gorgeous embroidery kits (and threads and notions) on Etsy. Lorna is based in the UK, and her international shipping rates are reasonable. The SRE kit shown here sells for US$54.95 and includes “the design screened onto dupion silk, muslin for backing, all silk ribbon materials, stranded green cotton, needles, with a full set of instructions and a detailed colour photograph.” Shipping is just US$3.00 within the UK and US$5.00 to all other destinations.
