Pam of Threading My Way shares her rockin entry for the Retro Pillow Challenge. She says,
For the first time, I tried several new (to me) sewing techniques: hand appliqué, patchwork, machine embroidery and quilting. At the same time I improved my skills with techniques I had used before: machine appliqué and hand stitching.
All on one little pillow! I’d call this project a success in every way. See more at Pam’s blog post.
And she reminds us: It’s not too late to enter the Retro Pillow Challenge yourself!
Looking for a supplier of Silk Ribbon? We love Etsy for finding hand dyed ribbons as well as imported European silk Embroidery Ribbons. You can see the listings here on Etsy. Why use silk ribbons? While you can use other kinds of ribbon, it’s best to work with silk because It’s lightweight and very fluid and can easily be manipulated into stitches.

This turned out to be such a beautiful pillow! I’m thrilled to see it on CraftGossip where so many more crafters can appreciate it. Bravo Pam!
