At the Kreinik Thread Blog, tey are featuring a book by Sue Dulle that goes into detail about couching. While couching may not be the most exciting embroidery technique at first consideration as the blog points out, once you go deeper into thought about it, it gets pretty exciting because you can use so many fibers because you are laying them on top of the ground fabric instead of piercing it with them. Sue not only explains couching in her book, she also provides two award winning patterns in it as well. Sue’s book uses Kreinik fibers to create the designs. A review of the book and ordering information for the book is included as well on the Kreinik blog. Learn more.
