Plastic Canvas Poinsettia Ornament Pattern

November 30, 2020 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

Are you looking for an easy beginner level plastic canvas design?  Take a look at this lovely free poinsettia ornament pattern from Strings Away!.  Made in these bright and festive colors, it will stand out on your Christmas tree.  It’s also a lovely stocking stuffer or gift tag idea.

Measuring 3″ x 3″ when finished, it is not a large piece so it should not take too much time to make.  My absolute favorite thing about this pattern is the dimension on it.  It is made with multiple shapes which layer together to form the flower.  What a wonderful design element!

Julie, over on the blog, explains everything you will need and how to cut out your plastic shapes.  Besides the 7 count plastic canvas, you will need yarn, a #16 plastic canvas needle, a glue gun, and, if you want to hang it by a gold cord, you will need that as well.  I’m guessing that chances are pretty good that if you do plastic canvas work, you have these supplies on hand already.

It’s such a pretty ornament that you will probably want to make more than one of them.
