Plastic Canvas Watermelon Coasters Pattern

May 30, 2021 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

When the temperatures start rising it is fun to get outside and enjoy a cold beverage.  Protect your tables with these sweet watermelon plastic canvas coasters designed by Strings Away!.  It is an easy and free pattern available on her website.

Each coaster measures 3 1/4 inches and the tutorial is a beginner level so anyone can give it a try.

To make them you will need general plastic canvas making supplies including:

  • 7 count plastic canvas
  • Yarn (and there is a useful color key to get the exact look)
  • Needle
  • Glue
  • Felt

The designer, Julie, has a detailed graph so you should have no problem stitching these up.

Perfect for the summer months, a set of these would be lovely as a hostess or housewarming gift.  Especially if the new house had a nice outdoor space.
