Oregon quilters joined together to create a quilt that honors the 107 U.S. servicewomen killed in Iraq – name by name. Included among the honorees is Jessica Ellis, 24, the only Oregon military servicewoman killed in Iraq, who died May 11. On September 15, 20 of the quilt’s creators will present it during the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. You can read the entire story on the web site of The Oregonian.
