Ryan is inspired to stitch by Aimee

June 22, 2010 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Comics artist Ryan Claytor stumbled across a copy of Aimee Ray‘s Doodle Stitching and was inspired to express himself in embroidery. And, being a fastidious blogger, he lets us look over his shoulder through the whole process. You’ll enjoy thinking Ryan’s thoughts for a few minutes as much as you’ll love learning his technique. See the tute.

I keep wondering just how many people in the world have had this response to Aimee’s phenomenal little book. I remember when I discovered it. I was so torn. On one hand, I couldn’t stop reading. On the other, I wanted to throw down the book and grab a hoop and start doodling and stitching right now. I found the link to Ryan’s tute on Aimee’s blog, little dear tracks. Bookmark both blogs. This is some good stitchy reading!

    Hi Craft Gossip (Denise?) <:)

Just wanted to say thank you for the nice little write-up (…or shall I say, piece of gossip?) about my recent embroidery venture. I really appreciate the linkage and the feedback.

All the best with your site,
