Recently Mary Corbet of Needle ‘N Thread posted a common Shisha stitch tutorial and now she has posted a tutorial of a variation of the Shisha stitch that looks like it will be fun too. In case you didn’t see the first one, Shisha stitch involves attaching mirrors to your ground fabric using basic embroidery stitches and tacking stitches. This variation looks a little more square to me than the first version – which is really cool since it uses a round mirror to begin with. Mary once again provides an excellent tutorial using photos and text to explain how to achieve the proper Shisha stitch. Check it out.
