The 2009 Needle and ThREAD Bookmark Challenge begins Thursday March 19 and runs through May 7. Stitchers are encouraged to create bookmarks and donate them to a participating shop during that time. The shops then donate the bookmarks to a local literacy group just in time for Children’s Book Week.
