Stitching “Challenge for a Good Cause”

September 7, 2009 by Denise Felton 3 Comments

cancerThe fall stitching challenge over on Craftster focuses on two causes: Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness. Moderator kittykill says, “To honor both causes stitch up your favorite quote, your favorite role model or even a few cuss words to let us know how you really feel.” The entry period is October 12 to 18, so start stitching now! Get the details.

And many thanks to MrXStitch for pointing out the Challenge for a Good Cause.

Good luck to all who enter the contest. For a little inspiration on the topic of breast cancer awareness, I invite you to check out this video — ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/6789 — about a very special woman’s “aha moment” that led her to walk around the world for the cause. Literally. It’s a wonderful story, and it’s about a lot more than breast cancer. I think you’ll appreciate it.

    All the best,

Whoo! I’m so excited about this challenge and really enjoying working on my new project for it. I hope a lot more crafters out there get in on the fun for this challenge!
