Your work could be in the new book that Leanne Prain is putting together for Arsenal Pulp Press. Leanne’s blog says,
Hoopla: The Art of Unexpected Embroidery rebels against the traditional notions of quaint embroidery with motifs of flowers and songbirds. The book will feature unusual stitch work on a variety of surfaces and textures…Hoopla will demonstrate that modern embroidery artists are as sharp as the needles that they work with. If you describe your stitch-work as arresting, subversive, quirky, or conceptual, Hoopla should feature your design work. There is no entry fee, and designers are encouraged to submit multiple designs.
The deadline to submit ideas is June 15. Go to Leanne’s blog for all the details. And many thanks to deadlyknitshade of Crafty Crafty for the heads-up!
