Textiles and national identity

I like to read everything John Hopper wants to write on The Textile Blog. Today’s post, though, is especially interesting to me. Using Poland (and the works of Wladyslaw Skoczylas) for example, he examines the role of arts and crafts in maintaining a national identity through periods of political domination. See the post.
