The Stitch and Thimble

September 19, 2011 by Denise Felton Leave a Comment

Kelly Fletcher (materialistic) is self-publishing an embroidery e-zine! She says,

It’s a digital publication (in PDF format) called The Stitch and Thimble and it comes out four times a year. I’ve just loaded the fifth issue on to my website – http://www.kellyfletcher.co.uk/ – where it sells for £5. There are five projects in each issue, which I design from scratch especially for the publication: two main projects, a sampler, a New Vintage project that is contemporary but draws on the past and a Quick Stitch project to make in an afternoon. I also include four templates in the same theme as the sampler for crafters in general. The publication includes all the instructions for the embroidery, as well as for how to make up each item. And it’s laid out in such a way that all the patterns can be printed on a home printer on A4 or letter-sized paper (no “enlarge 200%” instructions!).

All you need to do is log on to http://www.kellyfletcher.co.uk/ and go to my online shop for The Stitch and Thimble. Payment is through PayPal, which allows you to pay with a debit or credit card as well (you don’t need a PayPal account). The publication is  emailed to you automatically, so it’s in your inbox within a few minutes. Then you can print out the whole publication, or just the pages you need.

Ed. note: Kelly Fletcher did not compensate this post in any way.
