Trim Your Christmas Tree Free Needlework Pattern

December 3, 2020 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

Before you decide to make this elegant needlework Christmas tree that was designed by Neon Flamingo Designs, you probably want to have some experience.  This is not a piece for beginners, but my goodness, it is beautiful.

You do need a number of supplies.  Along with standard needlework items, you will need 200 gold seed beads, a crewel needle and a tapestry needle.  The designer uses the leaf stitch to make the tree.  As you can see, she used various shades of green to really make it pop.  For the gold beads she used gold colored embroidery floss.

It is an intricate pattern, but there are detailed numbered charts to guide you through the process.  To finish the project, you will need a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ oval frame.  That gives you an idea of the size.

Because it is not very large, this could easily be finished with a ribbon so it could be hung as an ornament.  It could also be hung on the wall during the holidays.  No matter where this Christmas tree is displayed, it will look good.
