Tutorial: Pinwheel in a Square

Janet Wickell, editor of About.com’s quilting blog, has posted another quilt pattern that is not only gorgeous but also free. Doesn’t this Pinwheel in a Square block make you want to run to your cutting table and grab the old rotary cutter? Janet says of the version pictured here, “My colors are primarily light to medium shades that blend together just a bit, because I wanted a somewhat colorwashed appearance. You can change the look drastically by creating more contrast among the patches of your quilt blocks.” Beautiful. See the tutorial.
