Another craft, popular in the 1970s, that is having a revivial is string art–winding fiber around a jig of nails or pins to create an image. Blair of wisecraft has come up with a completely brilliant application of this craft, using it to suggest an iconic painting (Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring) directly on her wall!
