Warm a preemie with your quilt

Angel Quilt Project logoDo you know about the Angel Quilt Project? Here’s bit of information from the project’s web site:

We are a nonprofit, world-wide organization of cross stitchers and machine embroiderers. We do patterns that are ‘child friendly.’ For instance, we use all the Precious Moments patterns, as well as Cherished Teddies. We also use all the Animal Babies by Ellen Maurer-Stroh. If you’ll surf the site you’ll find other patterns available, including those that were designed especially for the project.

We incorporate the designs onto hand-made blankets which we then donate to families with premature babies at over 200 hospitals here in the US, as well as another 100+ or so around the world.

What a wonderful way for embroiderers and quilters to share their talents. If you’re interested in participating in the Angel Quilt Project, get more information on their site.

And many thanks to Patty of Pip Stitch for pointing out this excellent charity.
