Watch Meri’s blog for drawn-thread tutes

June 22, 2012 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Our beloved Meri of Agulhas da Meri has decided to take a step beyond sharing images of her amazing embroidery and actually teach us her drawn-thread techniques. She says,

I am an amateur, with these needles and threads. With this series I intend to share what I know, as I do and learn from you. So I hope much participation. I know there are always several ways to do the same thing – here I only can refer to my way. But I would enjoy learning alternatives too. Please participate in and correct me both the techniques and my English as well!…The first two articles are aimed at beginners, because I well remember the bad things I did when I started.

I cannot wait to see this series! Thank you so much for taking the time to share what you’ve learned with us, Mary! Go to her blog–and be sure to bookmark it so you don’t miss any articles. Meri publishes each post in Portuguese and English.
