Over at Nuts About Needlepoint Janet has been posting some tips and topics from the archives and this one caught my eye because I had never considered it. She suggests that if you are looking for an unusual way to create a background for your needlepoint project, you should consider using sheer fabric such as chiffon, lame, organdy, or net. Illusion, a type of net fabric, is shown here, comes in a variety of colors as do many of these other fabrics, offering a variety of background options. Janet explains how to use fabric in her post with many tips for achieving success. Go check it out.
