Nagel ladies were a fixture of artwork in the 80’s and when my friend Lisa needed to stitch up a project for a swap with the theme of “Living in the 80’s” she immediately thought of this type of artwork. As I mentioned, I am lucky enough to be friends with Lisa, so I got to watch this piece progress and it was so much fun. As she stitched it, I wondered how she got the perfect white skin against the gray background and now I know. But I am not going to give away her secret here. To find out and to see more photos of this work in progress visit her blog A Cuppa Tea With Me. She is sharing her secrets there!
