If you’re new to the world of hand embroidery, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. That’s why this list of 9 amazing embroidery stitches that are perfect for beginners. With just a little bit of practice, you’ll be able to create beautiful designs and add a personal touch to your clothing, home decor, and more.

By the way, did you know that embroidery originated in China and the Near East and is still practiced across the world. It dates back to Cro-Magnon times or 30,000 B.C. When archeological discoveries were made, it was discovered that the bodies of Cro-Magnon folks had been embroidered and embellished with hand stitching and decorations.

This tutorial is not so ancient though! This one is for small hand embroidered flowers (the tutorial is not in English but it is still mesmerising to watch).

As you may know embroidery stitches are a series of decorative or functional loops, knots, or patterns made with a needle and thread on a fabric or other material. Embroidery stitches can be used to create designs, patterns, and images on textiles such as clothing, handkerchiefs, towels, and other fabrics.

They can also be used to repair or reinforce fabrics, as well as to add decorative touches to a wide range of items like home decor, accessories, and crafts. There are countless embroidery stitches to choose from, each with their own unique look and purpose, ranging from simple and easy to complex and intricate.
