5 Hand Embroidery Hearts Tutorials

February 8, 2021 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

Impress your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day with not one hand embroidered heart, but five different ones.  Each one of these charming and festive heart patterns from Wandering Threads Embroidery are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

What is really fun about these designs is that each one looks completely different even though they are the same size heart shape.

The five patterns include:

  1. Classic satin stitch heart
  2. “Heart Throb” heart which includes the stem stitch, back stitch, and french knots
  3. Woven heart
  4. French knots heart
  5. Initial heart

Which one is your favorite?  I think I like the french knots one.  Up close it almost looks like a big bouquet of roses and who doesn’t like to get a big bouquet of roses.

What is nice about this tutorial is that the designer provide plenty of step by step photos to guide you though the patterns.  In addition, there are links to stitch tutorials in case there is one you are unfamiliar with.

What a fun design this is.  It’s like a mini sampler, but done in a non-traditional way.
