Anna Scott’s Queen Bee

March 8, 2014 by Pam Pedersen 2 Comments

Queen Bee garden visit 2

When I first laid eyes on Anna Scott’s Queen Bee I thought it was machine embroidery. It looked like it was a cut out tapestry. After reading about the process and finding out that it done by hand, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor.  I am completely blown away by the stitching, not to mention using metallic thread in such a manner. You can check out her process HERE.

This is stunning! I just read through all her posts – and the hexagon that the bee is sitting on is only 2.5″ across!!! My eyes are crossing just thinking about it!!! WOW! Thanks so much for sharing this!
