Blackwork is a fun counted-thread embroidery style that is easy to learn and can be done using any evenweave fabric and embroidery thread. Imaginesque is a great source of free blackwork charts and this recent post is a fine example of their work. This snow crystal would make a great ornament or gift tag and would be lovely stitched in metallic thread or in shades of blue. Get the free chart.
