This almost makes me happy that I wear spectacles. Fashioningtech.com says,
Fusing traditional crafts with rapid prototyping technologies, Chloë McCormick and Nicholas O’Donnell-Hoare have designed a customizable pair of 3D printed tapestry glasses. The frames are printed with tiny holes through which you can weave color yarns.
If the recent proliferation of hand-stitched iPhone cases is any indicator, we’ll soon see a boom of clever embroidered eyeglass frames. I hope so! See more photos at the blog post.
And many thanks to AndrewS of Craftzine.com for pointing out this brilliance.

LOVE those specs. I wear glasses, and I do knitting/crocheting/any type of handsewing. I would dearly love a pair of those. They are just funky, just like me.

These could open up to many designs! Anyone know an optical company that will place prescription lenses in frames you bring in?
