The last time I repeated the word “Dutch” in reference to a pattern like this, a reader from the Netherlands dropped me an outraged note. We non-Dutch know that people don’t actually dress this way in the Netherlands. But this free vintage pattern from doe-c-doe is still sweet and worth stitching as a bit of fairy-tale nostalgia.
