Free Soda Shop Minnie Mouse Embroidery Design Review

July 24, 2026 by Shellie Wilson Leave a Comment

If you like embroidery designs with a retro cartoon feel, this Soda Shop Minnie Mouse design is a fun little freebie to grab. It’s by Method Man Designs and the listing for this design shows it at 2.85″ x 3.52″, fitting a 4″ x 4″ hoop, so it’s a nice smallish size for adding to kids’ items, pockets, little bags, or quilt blocks.

What I like about this one is that it feels playful without needing a huge project built around it. Some character designs are so big they basically demand the whole front of a tote bag. This one feels much more manageable. It would be cute on a bib, tee, small cushion, or anything with a bit of a vintage diner or Disney feel. That last part is my own take from the design name and listing image style.

The file is listed in multiple formats too, including DST, EMB, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, SEW, VIP, which is always handy when you’re downloading freebies and hoping your machine doesn’t immediately reject your life choices.

One thing I’d note is that the stitch count shown on the listing looks unusually high compared with the design size, so I’d personally double-check the download details before stitching just to be safe. That caution is based on the page listing a 3.52″ x 2.85″ design alongside a 174,637 stitch count, which may be a page error or something worth confirming.

Overall though, as a free Minnie Mouse embroidery design, it’s cute, retro, and easy to imagine using on smaller sewing projects.
