Amy from Amy Loves to Sew designed this beautiful hand embroidered heart charm and she made a tutorial so everyone else can make it too.
Done in colors that one doesn’t traditionally see in hearts, the design incorporates flowers and other stitches to make something completely unique. Navy and orange is one of those combinations that I find striking and that is probably what drew me to this project. That, and also that fact that is it is absolutely lovely.
In the article you will find a downloadable pdf pattern along with a complete list of everything you will need for your heart charm. Additionally, there are complete step by step instructions. No finished size is given, but since the pattern is downloadable, you can scale it to any size using your printer.
The stitches you will be using include the split stitch, french knots, running stitch, and the blanket stitch.
Charms like these make lovely gifts or decorations. Wouldn’t this be a thoughtful gift for Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day?
