If you’ve fiddled with flat beadwork, such as these star ornaments by Jane of World Embroideries, then you know there’s a problem when you try to hang them up. They sag. Gravity grabs ahold of the beads, and your pretty flat beadwork looks like something by Salvador Dali. Jane offers this tip:
They turn out a little floppy after you stitch them, but then you use an acrylic floor wax (dunk them in it, and allow to dry on something that won’t stick)and they turn out beautiful.

Oh that’s a good idea. Thanks. I wonder if a starch mix like that used to stiffen doilies would also work.
