Pistil Stich Hand Embroidery Tutorial

May 13, 2021 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

Often found in Indian hand embroidery designs, the pistil stitch may look difficult, but is not.  This tutorial from Anything Creative shows you how to do it.

The article contains plenty of step by step detailed photos showing you how to do it.  Basically you need to know how to do a french knot and the author shows you how.

This pistil stitch would be a wonderful way to make a flower or maybe even some fireworks.  It is another design to really make your own hand embroidery designs really pop.

I find that patterns with unique stitches like this one can stand apart from others.  Somehow it gives the projects a more unique look.
