Spring Hand Embroidery Design

March 12, 2021 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

Talk about bright and cheerful!  This charming hand embroidery design welcoming spring was designed by Ameroonie Designs for Polka Dot Chair, and it is about as cute as it can be.

The added elements make this design even more special.  Look closely and you will see buttons and felt, adding plenty of dimension and color to an already vibrant design.

To make this project you will need standard hand embroidery supplies including a 7″ embroidery hoop, floss, fabric, and a needle.  Optional supplies include felt, buttons, and mini pompom garland to add those extra touches.

The tutorial provides step by step instructions, including how to transfer the design to your fabric.  Various embroidery stitches like the back stitch and the herringbone are used, but the designer points out that other can be used if you prefer.

This lovely wall art is just what we need after a long and cold winter.  It is bright and cheerful and a sure reminder that warmer and longer days are not far behind.
