In October and December, I told you about the efforts of Shari Jensen and the Stitchmap Yahoo Group to gather and share stitchy stash with women in eastern Texas who lost their homes to widespread wildfires. Shari’s March 29 post on the KNASS blog tells the end of the story, which you will love. Shari also said in a personal note, “Your coverage of this effort resulted in many donations being received from your readers. I believe they might enjoy having the opportunity to see where their donations ended up and to read some of the stories about the recipients.” This confirms my belief that stitchers in general and CraftGossip readers in particular can always be depended upon for kindness and generosity. Thank you so much for sharing with the needlefolk of Texas. Go read about the final event and see lots of photos.
