Most importantly, the result is the gorgeous crazy-quilt pincushion shown here, which is almost too pretty to pierce with pins. But if you decide to use it, you’ll get a lot of mileage out of it: It’s big. The base is the diameter of a CD…because (YES!) the base is made from two recycled CDs.
