Sometimes it’s nice to make a needlework project that is unique. One that you have designed yourself and can’t be found in a store. That is what I think of when I see this adorable plastic canvas storage box tutorial from Makezine.
The easy-to-follow directions lay out all of the basic information you will need to make a box. That is helpful because you can tailor your box to whatever size you want. In addition, you can choose which stitch(es) you want to use. There are two lovely examples shown in the post.
To make a box you will need standard plastic canvas needlework supplies like 10 count plastic canvas, yarn, and a tapestry needle. You will also need a permanent marker and fabric scraps (optional).
This is such a great idea. You can really let your creativity shine. How fun is that! Why not make one for Christmas or Easter? It would be easy just by changing up the colors of yarn you use.
