I’m having a bit of a problem with these adorable embroidery hoop punch needle designs from Hearth & Vine. I can’t decide which one I want to do first because they are all so cute!
Made in 4″ mini embroidery hoops, they are easy to hang on a Christmas tree, and they have a lovely rustic look to them. There are four charming designs to choose from: a Christmas tree, cardinal, snowman, and a star.
To make these you need standard punch needle embroidery supplies, as well as some fabric for the backing and the hoop. You will also need some string or ribbon to make a hanger. The author admits in the tutorial that she was new to this hobby when she made these, but I have to tell you that she did a wonderful job! I never would have known it if she hadn’t said anything.
I love little projects like these. I think they make such nice homemade gifts for friends and family. Not only that, but they add special charm to your own tree. On our tree we still hang some decorations that were made by our grandmothers. It’s a nice remembrance of them during the holidays.
