I study every section on SharonB‘s For the Love of Stitching band sampler as she publishes it. I learn something from every post — about stitch, or color, or composition. They’re all so lovely, it hardly seems fair to single out one above another. However, from time to time she posts some work that absolutely makes me weak in the knees. This is one of those pieces. Subtle color variations, a harmonious variety of stitches appropriate to the subject matter, the density of the stitching surrounding the seashell silhouette, the integration of the perfect beads and sequins in perfect proportions. I’ll be studying this band for a long time. Get the details and see a close-up on SharonB’s Pin Tangle post.
