Anita Pendley of AnitasArts blog has posted a tutorial for lining a kit-made Christmas stocking for greater strength and cleanliness. Anita notes that the lining technique would work as well for needlepoint or cross-stitch stockings as it does for felt applique.

Several years ago I made a lined Christmas stocking.I was able to assemble it in such a way that the back, front, and lining was stitched, leaving an opening along the back to turn it inside=-out, then the opening was blindstitched closed. I can’t figure out how I did that. Can you help?
