Maison Sajou Sewing Book: 20 Projects from the famous French Haberdasher

March 10, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

The Maison Sajou Sewing Book includes twenty embroidered projects ranging from bed linens and tablecloths to book covers and monograms, all meant to bring sophisticated French taste into your home.

Even the most inexperienced sewer will enjoy the delicate needlework of monograms, pointelle borders, and drawn threadwork using simple step sequences, patterns, and templates. While the exquisite designs of these crafts harken back to a time when stitching was a common pastime for many women, even the most complicated will take hours rather than days to complete.

Lucinda Ganderton has published extensively about needlework and sewing, including The Liberty Book of Home Sewing (2011), which she collaborated on with Liberty of London. She resides in the United Kingdom.
